On Saturday I completed the supreme race in Westport’s Sea 2 Summit. Covering a total of 56k, it involves running a total of 8k, hiking up Croagh Patrick, and cycling a total of 43k, part of which has some serious hills. You may have heard me going on about it lately; it’s kind of a big deal to me. So anyway, let’s talk about the after party. Obviously I wanted to be comfortable but I also wanted to get glammed up for a big night out, 1,500 people took part in it and town should be hopping. You don’t have to be a tom boy or “butch” to enjoy getting out and putting your body to the test. I wanted my outfit to reflect that even girly girls like to get dirty and push themselves to the limits every now and then too.
The gold buckle on the belt dresses it up with a bit of bling. The sleeves add a bit of warmth and comfort that means it’s also a good option for a day time occasion like a family dinner, christening, or even Christmas day.
What would you wear when comfort is essential but style is necessary?
