FRIDAY STYLE: THE ADVENTURE RACE AFTER PARTY

??????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????

On Saturday I completed the supreme race in Westport’s Sea 2 Summit. Covering a total of 56k, it involves running a total of 8k, hiking up Croagh Patrick, and cycling a total of 43k, part of which has some serious hills. You may have heard me going on about it lately; it’s kind of a big deal to me. So anyway, let’s talk about the after party. Obviously I wanted to be comfortable but I also wanted to get glammed up for a big night out, 1,500 people took part in it and town should be hopping. You don’t have to be a tom boy or “butch” to enjoy getting out and putting your body to the test. I wanted my outfit to reflect that even girly girls like to get dirty and push themselves to the limits every now and then too.

This beautiful blue dress is from Oasis and the belt comes with it. The wrap style is quite flattering. The style is essentially simple but in a very elegant way.

The gold buckle on the belt dresses it up with a bit of bling. The sleeves add a bit of warmth and comfort that means it’s also a good option for a day time occasion like a family dinner, christening, or even Christmas day.

Teal and Plum Jewel Statement Necklace
Here I’m adding another touch of bling with this necklace that I bought on holiday in Portugal.

These shoes are from New Look and tie in with the gold details on the dress and necklace. Also the small heel makes them bearable after the day’s events.

What would you wear when comfort is essential but style is necessary?
