SMOKY TAUPE AND PINK OMBRE EYE LOOK

Today’s eye look is a departure for the neutral toned browns and golds that I usually go for, I felt like having a bit of fun with one of my favourite eye shadows MAC Satin Taupe. Satin Taupe is a really great colour to have in your collection because it’s very versatile. You can use it on its own all over the lid and in the crease. You can use it in the crease for a contour or use it on the lid with a darker colour in the contour. Another way of using Satin Taupe is as a base under other colours; it can completely change the colour that you layer on top of it. It’s also a really great colour for lining your eyes because its dark enough to define the eyes but it’s not too dark so it’s great for a softer look or if you are like me and feel that black looks too harsh all around your eyes. If I use black on the top lashes then I can use Satin Taupe on the bottom lashes to neutralise the harshness of the black. So here is today’s taupe and pink ombre look:

First I used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe as a base all over the lid and crease.

Then apply MAC Satin Taupe by loading it into the outer corner and blending it towards the middle of the lid and crease.

Next I applied MAC Pink Freeze by loading it into the inner corner and blending it towards the centre of the lid.

Then I dipped my brush into MAC Hepcat dabbed it right in the middle of the lid.

To finish I just lined the top lashes with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, lined the bottom lashes with Satin Taupe and loaded on Lancôme Hypnose mascara.
What eye shadows do you think are really versatile?
