Would I be Irish if I didn’t comment on how the evenings are drawing in? Up until Thursday, the darkness creeping in earlier and earlier each evening was the only sign that summer was over. This was a week of two halves; it started out warm and summery and is ending with autumn well and truly rolling in and raring to go. With this in mind I decided to use both summery and autumnal colours in today’s outfit; I am combining bright pastel lilac with a warm and rich berry tone.
This blazer is from Penneys, sure how could we have a post without something from Penneys. I picked this up last winter but you will see loads of similar ones in any of the high street shops this time of year.
The top is from Vero Moda. You can also see it with blue in this post.
These are the black trousers with gold zips from Dorothy Perkins. I wear these lots.
I picked this necklace up while on holiday in Portugal, you can see the rest of the holiday haul here.
The shoes are from New Look.
Its Friday, it’s a bank holiday weekend, and there may be some sunshine, can I get a woohoo! It’s finally nice enough to wear ripped jeans without the fear of wind chill. Today’s outfit is a bit dressy and bit casual so it could take you from day to night or just relaxing in a beer garden, enjoying the sun and company of some friends.
The jacket is a recent purchase from Swamp. This jacket has a lovely crepe style front and chiffon dip hem back. It’s so lovely, it really dresses up what would be a casual outfit and it would also work great for wearing with a dress. It would really glam up a plain dress and it would be a great cover up to wear to a wedding.
The top is also a fairly recent purchase and it’s from New Look. The print is so cute and summery, I couldn’t leave it behind. It also has a cute button up back.
The jeans are from Penneys and they are old. They featured in a few posts last summer and will probably make a few appearances on the blog this summer.
The shoes are from Penneys. I do love a pointed toe court.
The bag was a gift with purchase from The Body Shop and it’s a great colour for summer.
I picked up the necklace while on holiday in Portugal.
How do you style ripped boyfriend jeans, do you like to dress them up or keep it casual?
Well it’s Friday again and hopefully by now we have all recovered from losing an hours sleep last weekend. On the plus side we now have more hours of daylight which we can see getting longer and longer as we get closer to summer. This is a huge help in terms of blogging, it means that I can wait until the evening to get some photos rather than trying to rush and get them all done in the morning before I leave for work. No easy feat considering I’m a slow moving witch without a broom in the morning and that’s putting it nicely.
I picked this lovely floral top up last weekend in Vero Moda while they were having a 20% off everything discount. I’m very picky with my florals, I don’t like them to be too busy and I have to like all the colours, and this one ticked all the boxes.
I was actually away last weekend when I bought the top and happened to have this blue blazer from Mango with me and I think they work well together.
The trousers are also a new purchase from Zara. I love the fit of these and as you know I love the zips detail. The material is unusual, kind of like scuba material but that is probably why the fit is so good.
The shoes are from Menbur. Usually if I am wearing anything with blue then these are my go to shoes.
The necklace is from Carraig Donn and the earrings are from New Look.
Have you bought anything nice recently?
Last week I told you there would be more lime and here it is. Sorry but this post will be a short one because I spent my evening doing this:
If you too would like to be a domestic goddess and make After Eight flavoured cupcakes then here is the link to the recipe that I used. I’ll let the clothes do the talking, I’m sure you will be most disappointed that you don’t have to read my long winded rambles.
This cute lime cardigan is from Penneys, where else. The little diamonte buttons add to its cuteness factor.
This floral print top is from H & M and you may have seen it in this previous post where I paired it with blue. The jeans are my old faithful black skinnies from Dorothy Perkins.
These boots are from the Amy Huberman range for Bourbon footwear. Fingers crossed it will be only a few more weeks before I can wear cute little pumps again.
I picked this necklace up in Carraig Donn. I like blue and lime together, which you will see more of in an upcoming post.
So the big question is, will you be baking mint and chocolate cupcakes or wearing lime?
