L’OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE BB BLUSH: REVIEW AND PICTURES

L'Oreal Nude Magic BB Blush

Here is another one of the L’Oreal products that I won in a competition on the frillseeker.ie website. Seriously if you haven’t checked the site out yet, you really should; it’s great. Back to the blush, I’m a bit on the fence with this one. It has its plusses and minuses for me; I’ll give you a run down on both sides as I see it.

???????????????????????????????
L’Oreal’s Nude Magique BB Blush is a “transparent blush texture that turns pink on contact with skin for an instant healthy glow”. It’s a light pink liquid gel. The thing is I’ve never been a big fan of liquid blushes. I find them a bit fussy to work with and this one is no exception. When I applied this with a brush there was little to no colour on my cheeks, even after applying a few layers. However, when I used my fingers the colour payoff was far more pigmented. Actually it was almost too pigmented.
What I do like is that this is perfect for the no makeup look. This would be ideal with a BB cream for a paired back look. Unfortunately, I don’t do the no makeup look too often.  The colour is pink; pure pink, no hint of peach or coral whatsoever. I’m not used to a blush so pink but I’m getting used to it and I’m starting to like it. You can see for yourself in the pictures below.

So how do you feel about liquid blushes?

  1. I’d been considering this BB blush for a while since I have the L’Oreal BB cream, but was betwixt and between purchasing it – having read your review I’m glad I didn’t go for it though, as while the pink you described sounds potentially nice – and looks well on you – I would probably find the liquid blush a bit of a pain to work with. I almost always work with powder blushes so the closest product to a liquid blush I have is a brilliant Louise Gray x Topshop cream blush duo – it’s diverse in that it applies as a cream blush (you can use a blusher brush for it) but then takes on a powder consistency when applied!

Really lovely blog by the way, have subscribed – looking forward to new posts now! 🙂 ♥

    • I prefer powder blushes myself, so easy to work with, basically fool proof. Must check out the Top Shop one, sounds interesting. I haven’t actually tried any Top Shop makeup yet, not a great selection in my nearest store. Thanks so much for your kind comments, hope you enjoy future posts.
